Yes, I'll have to agree with you. Although wickedly comical, deep down I think he's an irritating faggot. Really. :)

I quite liked the first movie. It was quite funny and occasionally original. Dr. Evil was hilarious. However the sequel was a disappointment. Not as funny, a lot was rehashed and Fat Bastard was just cringeworthy. I haven't seen the third one yet so I can't comment on it yet.

I kinda liked them, stupidly funny in a way

There's a third installment?

It's coming out this Friday in the U.S. - Goldmember.

I didn't like the original when I saw it but then ended up watching it again and it grew on me. Now I think it's very funny.

The second one did a lot of the same jokes and wasn't nearly as good, although Mini Me was funny and the Jerry Springer Show scene was funny, but overall disappointing.

The third one is supposedly rife with celebrity cameos that are reportedly hilarious, but I haven't seen it so who knows.

They're hilarious. No intellectual challenge, but there is a lot of scarcely hidden satire and very much irony. I like their stereotypes, and their parodical treatment of other subjects. They do however lose some of their charm in the constant fixation on sex and dirty jokes.

I think they're pretty funny movies, though I think I'm also getting a little tired of them too. Even if this third one rules, I hope it's the last.

They only seem funny as compared to
the other crappy dripple the industry
puts out these days.

Witless crap. I havn't see a really
funny new movie in years.

I personally quite like them. They're not movies that I would watch again and again, nor queue up for days in advance, but as light entertainment, they do the job.

Remember that they are supposed to be pi$$-takes! Ie - it is virtually by definition that they don't have "new" material in them!

I've never seen either of the first two in full and I am almost certain I'll never see the third one in full. But what is with Myers playing multiple characters all the time? Even in So I Married an Axe Murderer... But I did like that one. I do tell my coworkers "I'm dead sexy" and touch my nipple and such... "Cry himself to sleep on his wee pilla!":)

Ther have been some funny movies in recent years. I hate Adam Sandler crap and most of those spoof movies too (although, as stated above, the first AP grew on me.)

State and Main was intelligent and funny, The Royal Tennebaums had its moments as did O Brother Where Art Thou. How many years back? Waiting for Guffman was a riot, though admittedly better if you have experience with or interest in the theater (ditto for Noises Off, which is not recent at all.) There are other good, witty movies but not enarly as many as there were 50 years when dialogue still mattered more than FX.

I liked the first Austin Powers movie. I haven't bothered to watch the 2nd movie, and I probably won't see the third one either.

I loved it, totally hilarious.

It's more for the older crowd, many of the "in jokes" are aimed for the over 30 crowd, dispite the many infantile jokes.

We need mindless entertainment, especially in these troubled times.

One name: Billy Crystal.

That guy is hilarious, I love his jokes and every movie he is in turns out funny, even that "Americas Lovers" or whatever.

I don't dig it, to be honest. some vaguely funny parody and an awful lot of puerile jokes about crap.
I saw the 2nd one at the cinema but got so bored i walked out before it had finished. nice midget, mind.

i do have a very british sense of humour which might help explain why it doesn't appeal.
