Well, I don't really hate them, but I was one turn away from my first ever Diety Space Race victory, and...

 Stupid Culture

I guess the reason I lost was because of the slow tech pace. I have never thought that in 1918 I would be researching the Laser! I had never participated in any real wars. Tech just went slow.

Standard Continents, 4 Billion, 70% Water.

I did. Spies don't kill culture though. If I didn't state it clear enough, it was a (I think) 100K cultural loss.

Very unlucky mate. It had to be Babylon, the culture kings, didn't it? That tech rate is very slow: normally on deity I don't have any problems with cultural victories and the space race is completed in the 1400/1500s.

Reload a saved game a few years before and do something about it.
Declare war to them and raze one of their cultural hubs or something

Ouch can't be very nice to be that close to winning and then lose... Reloading might work but it won't be such a great victory.

Everyone hates the Babylonians. They ruined my latest attempt at Emperor.

I had a game where they were miles ahead of me in technology which was pretty annoying...

I find it rewarding to disembowel and annihilate the Babylonians as early in the game as I can. That way, I don't have to worry about them getting a culture victory. You should try it... it's great fun. :D

Yes, killing the babs is a special delight.

Zulu are a close second for me. If you ever want a war with the Zulu, or just about any other AI (but especially the Zulu), just throw down a sacrificial town on the Zulu frontier and leave it undefended.

No wars? Than why didn't you build a few Culture buildings to have at least half of their culture, to avoid the 100k culture loss? Keeping an eye on opponents culture is usually a good thing, specially Babs.

Just because he wasn't involved in a major war, doesn't mean that he didn't build plenty of units for defence...

This one cracked me up, since I have kebab diner near my home named "KeBAB Delight"

There are many civs that I try to conquer early. The Babs are on that list.

I Don't like the Babylonians. I kept loosing cities to there culture. So what i did is i started a war with them. It took forever to get to there capital. Since most of the roads were destoryed. But for some reason every time i took there capital they had a new city some were. So i just kept getting mad. Even during the war i even lost some cities to there culture. They Finally lost and i got a +17 income from this war :).

personally, I don't find them to be worse than any other scientific civ, but my playing styles always allows a lot of culture. The civ I hate the most are Incans. They seem to conquer everybody, forcing me to do the same to keep up with them.

Actually, at my height of military, my army consisted of... 10 infantry and 5 cavalry.
