IMO then again it would be more like Civ3 add-on. Cut it out. Graphics are just fine, maybe just not too shaby for poor computer owners. But that's how the PC-world had allways been.

You could also try looking at the map after pressing ALT-F. This is satellite view and it effectively removes the isometric view and instead looks at everything top down. I find that I use it when I am expanding and exploring the map, or moving military from one place to another.

The problem with satellite view (Alt-F) is that you get the top-view of all units too. I have a hard time recognizing the unit types when I play in satellite view, so I rarely use it for anything else but strategic planning.

Both as FEAR a good example. Civ 4 graphic isn't that great.
If they designed civ4 with civ3 graphics then you would have more people complaining they use out of date graphics. There was those who cried about how dated (and 2d) Galactic Civilizations graphic was when it came out.

im jus stating the fact that a pretty game doesnt make a great game. I prefer the civ 3 graphics over cIV.. the new grafics serve no purpose!

AI is based on the CPU, Graphics are based on the grapics card. They are also programed by people with completely different skill sets. Adding graphics doesn't take away from the AI.

Wouldn't monochrome top-down graphics be best? Afterall since when did chess need more than 2 colors?
