I have the plague

i once had the plague in like 3 or 4 cities. the turn i decided to cut the roads going to those towns, the plague die in all of them the same turn... always had me wondering if it would have died anyway if i didnt cut those road

I got the plague too...I read this thread and thought the random nature of the plague would add some more fun to my games. Now I hope it doesn't ruin my emperor game-I'm just getting into the swing of things on this level.

Is there a way to spread it to your neighbors, do you know?

Wow, you all seem to have been very lucky, when the plague struck me it hung around for ages. It spred over all the continents of the world rapidly, practically every civ. was affected, and I had to cut off half my empire to stop the spread. It was disatrous, I spent about 15 turns recovering and in the mean time I lost several wars, if my tech wasn't so far ahead my my cities so productive I could have been sunk.

However, it may have been my development that lead the plague to be so awful, most of my cities had walls and were connected by rail or ports.

Damn thats how the Plague should be ... ... looks like the gods of randomness were against you for that one ... unfortunately you are the exception

What I wouldn't give for such a plague...for me I always lose two spearmen and then it's done.

You're all too lucky, I was playing the Middle Ages Scenario as Cordoba, & the plague started out in a North Morroco City I had, then spread towards Valencia, then to my Capital & I lost 1/3 of my total pop & half of my pop of my Capital.

Guess it was just bad luck

The worst the plague ever did to me was cause me to over panic and cut off that city from all civilization. Then I sent the ships that were in the city to the middle of the ocean and disbanded them.

yeah i know what you mean in one of my games, as france in medi evil conquest. i notied the plague in germany (my only neighbour) so i cut all my international roads and declared war, so i could attack any incoming troops (ok the plague was just a excuse for war)
