I don't think any song could possibly fit Civilization as a theme song better than Baba Yetu does. I was really disappointed when Warlords and Beyond The Sword changed the opening theme song.

Dear God, I hope not...
It was cool at first, but if I hear it one more time...
...just one more time, I might snap...

personally i'd love it, i think i spent more time sitting at the menu than playing the actual ghame.

but i doubt they would reuse it

I didn't like it at all. When I play strategy games, I want dark brooding music, not the soundtrack to a Pentecostalist single-sex orgy.

you know that you can change the menu theme back to the original one in the settings for the addons?

And i hope too that they will take something like this again. i liked the song too.

Heh I like each of Civ IV's openings, but I like BTS' the best.

Civ V will be unique, just as each other civ games' soundtracks were.

I hope they come up with something original and just as awesome.

This isn't Warhammer 40k, and WTH? Are Pentecostals anything like the ridiculous word of faith people?

I've only known one Pentecostal, and he was a very intense and scary God Botherer. As to the music, I don't really care. After the first game it usually gets switched off.

I honestly don't care what the music sounds like, I don't even listen to it at all, I load it up, turn off the music, switch to winamp and hit random play, switch back to civ and game on

I agree, though maybe not as the main theme, but in there at least. Why, I even support the good Civ III music (particularly that which made it into the ancient age in Civ IV) persisting.
