Sorry for using this topic, I just registered only to find out I can't create topics.
I just started playing civnet opposed to civ1 for dos which I played about 18 years ago. (time does fly).
Now I had an island and about 8 cities and I irrigated all relevant tiles and placed roads. Some of my cities were 8 in size. But even on 100% science rate for some reason even the biggest cities (depotism) are only producing one lightbulb. It takes literally ages to invent something new. While I just invented map making to find conquer new islands, the enemy already invented gunpowder
Hack even with a library in place there is still 1 lightbulb.
Is there something I'm missing here? Only when I convert 1 food tile to a scientist the lightbulbs jump from 1 to 5 or 6.
Also what should I do with a forrest tile that has a horse on it? Should I just leave it in place or should I transform and irrigate it regardless?
Thanks!
