I miss the strategic map

I miss:

* Clear indication of what's in a hex - resources, units, roads/maglevs, miasma
* Standard and moddable extra data layers (cities not connected, dig sites, known alien nests)
* Faster speed, especially given the very annoying UI deadlock bug on lower-end graphics systems.
