Please restrain me. I am hoping that I can fly above the rules and alter the word 'cheiftan' that sits under me screen name to say something else. This is my 11th post and first topic, and do not wish to wait any longer before I can have this privilage. This is the way I live my life, and so far I have been sucessful in getting what I want in other places by going around the rules. I don't really feel this is fair to others and I really want someone to stop me. This place seems tough, so I figured today is the day that I get my 'fly by the seat of my pants' style of doing things shot down like a neon-colored giant duck.

So please, TELL ME NO!!!

The current rule is thus:
"You can give yourself a custom title once you have 30 posts"

If you want an exception, your recourse is private communication with Thunderfall.

Oh come on lefty ;) Repeat after me:

NO

This seems like a ploy on Laughing Gull's part to rapidly accumulate 30 posts...

He could always start a never ending story or a PBEM. It's a pity that the RPG doesn't count any more.

Why is the limit 30 posts anyway?

Why not?

It's something to shoot for.

We used to have none of that, your title was the same as everyone else in the same post count bracket, and the avatar was a unit from civ-2, you started as a warrior, became a pikeman, ect. Or was it a phalanx? So long ago, I don't remember! :crazyeye:

Seems to me, being very pedantic, that someone has already changed it to 'chieftain' for you. :) I presume that was why you wanted it changed??

edited to correct vBulletin coding error - not a spelling error, although that would have been richly ironic!:)

moderated.

~~~~~sigh~~~~~
Remember, moderation is good. :)
One reason this site is as good as it is, is because the moderators keep the spamming, trolling, and flaming down, allowing us to indulge in quality discussion. That and closing inappropriate threads.
I have been to unmoderated sites, and while discussion is "free-er", a lot of good words get lost in the noise. They're great if you want a free-flowing conversation, but if you want serious discussion, a moderated forum keeps the noise down.
The second avatar was an archer...
When I first registered the requirement was 10 posts to change your title. I quickly spammed there and then promptly vanished for like 10 months until just recently.
I'm sure if someone had noticed during my recent return they would of changed me to chieftain :( . Luckily I dont have to worry anymore.
