A mod where research etc go very slowly + no timelimit.. I always liked epic games. Research should not bring new units too quickly.

A mod which has maintenance and inflation handled a bit differently... (I wouldn't mind removing inflation) Maintenance would act as research and money income shrinker, but allowing more city spread than currently. That way empires could spawn soon and take their area. I think cultural borders are a good limiter anyway. (AI should respect city distances better than in vanilla.. it should choose city locations based how friendly it is towards the other player)

A mod which would disable nuclear weapons, they discourage war too much.. modern weaponry is modern enough with aircrafts etc. (cruise missiles would be nice) Somehow vanilla feels less fun when closing the modern ages, not sure why.

A mod which allows getting rid of city improvements if wanted, or preferably a way to disable the functions of a city improvement.

A mod which has a list of cities where I can see how many turns it takes for town growth (takes 75% of my time/brain capacity in vanilla). (this probably exists.. is it true that there isn't such in vanilla or am I blind?)

A mod where sea units are more interesting than in vanilla.

Any mods that come close? Anyone else like these ideas? (or are they perhaps old and boring?) The mods I have checked so far are too bloated vanilla-civ typish with CTD-impressions at last page or unfinished excellent fantasy mods. =P

I just felt like writing this.. perhaps a bit noobish post, but oh well.

I believe your a blossoming modder.. If you have so many ideas then you should put them to use. If you know any XML try to see what you can do about all those ideas within the xml codes.

If you don't understand anything about modding, then check around the site. This is where I started. I learned all I know basicly from this site.. and of course experimenting on my own.

Read the massive amounts of tutorials on modding here, and then start trying stuff out.. In no time you'll start getting the hang of it and soon enough you'll be able to put those ideas into the game.

Give me a pm if you need some help with starting out. All I know really is XML when it comes to codding, But I do know quite a bit about 3dsmax and modeling units/buildings..etc into the game..
