I need some ideas.. In my mod im adding an extra UU to every civ and I need some ideas and sugestions..

List of nations left to do: American, Arabian, Aztec, Babylonian, Byzantine, Carthaginian, Dutch, Egyptian, Ehtiopian, Malinese, Ottoman, Persian, Portuguse, Russian, Sumerian

Well the US is pretty easy to pick some off the top of my head:
Minutemen
GI
M1A1 Abrams
A-10 Warthog
B-52

Arabia: Ansar Warrior-Macemen, lower cost, no resource requirements.
Byzantine: I would not have a dromon as a UU becasue early on most sea units arent worth building. Rename Cataphract into Tagmata, it would be a better representation.
Comitatenses: Crossbowmen, +1 str, -25% melee, +15% cavalry, increased cost OR
Varangian Guard: Macemen, -15% vs knights, +15% melee. OR
Foederati: War Elephant, +1 move, -25% vs cavalry, +25% vs melee.
Egypt: Ptolamaic Phalanx: replaces swordsmen, +15% vs melee and cavalry.
Medjay Bowmen: replaces archer, +1 str or +2 first strikes.
Ottoman: Ottoman Turks- Sipahi: Curiasser, +1 str.
Bombard: replaces trebuchet, requires gunpowder, better city attack, +1 str.
Seljuk Turks: Askaris: replaces knight, +15% melee and cavalry.
Persian:
Sparabara: replaces spearmen, +25% vs archers.
Clibanarii: replaces War Elephant. +1 move, +1 str, -50% mounted, increased cost.
Russia:
Dvor Cavalry: replaces knight, +15% vs cavalry and melee. slightly increased cost.
Polk Infantry: replaces pikemen. decreased cost, -25% cavalry, +25% melee.

I also would reccomend changing Camel ARchers to Ghulams. Ghulams were heavy Arab shock cavalry. Camels were rarely used in battle except acting as a rearguard against cavalry. There are also numerous other name changes like Praetorian to Legions and Phalanx to Hoplite. A change you might want to do is to rename Horse Archer to Ancient Cavalry. No one besides the Asiatic tribes really used horse archers.

You might want to pay some attention to placing the second UU in another era than the "main" UU is in.
So the US should not get another modern late game unit. Probably making the Minuteman a good choice.
Another cavaly for russia might be a bit boring as well.

Ive add the Hoplite (Swordsman) as the second UU for the greeks and kept the Phalanx would that be wrong?. Ive already changed Horse Archer to Horseman and are gona rename the others...

Do we have a good model/reskin for the Minutemen?..

Egypt ive added the Medjay Bowmen, and Persia got the Sparabara...

Yeah but for some nations thats not posible to do like Incas, Aztec, Maya and Zulu...

Again thanks for the sugestions :D

Hmm... perhaps going with some more "What if" units for these nations would be better, than to add a "Second Quechua".

Another possibility would be to make the second UU at least fill a completely different role. So if you are forced to give a Civ both UU in the same era, you would make one of them a Non-combatant or a Sea-UU.

EDIT:
Hoplite + Phalanx - Sword + Axe UU - that will give the greeks some serious punch in the early game. (Illustrating another possible issue with two UU in the same era.)
I am not saying it's necessarily "wrong" or "problem" - ie for Singleplayer balance is not that important and clearly comes after fun.
Especially for Greece there should be better alternatives tho. The "Civ" has a long history.

A possible later game UU for Greece would be something from the Greek War of Inipendance (vs. the Ottomans) which would give them a late renaissance unit prehaps.
Maybe something like this:

I feel that it doesnt matter if a civ has two UU's early in the game as long as it shows the time period it was a power. Babylon shouldnt have a medieval, renniasance, or modern unit becasue it didnt exist then. I suppose it doesnt really matter because the mod maker decides in the end.

The Greeks are strong for sure but its nothing the Romans cant fix with Legions as long as it is as close to history as posible I dont mind that some civs is a powerhouse in some eras of the game but your idea isent bad at all Refar and ill consider it if the to units so close course problems...

Ive giving the Incas a Slinger to replace the Archer and called it Hola...

How about a Code Talker for Native America?
