Is thier a way tp identify workers by thier respective city. If I have a lot of workers I'm trying to find a better way to keep track of them. Any help would be great.

Can I move workers around from the City Screen?

You can automate a worker for one city only (can't remember the specific hotkey right now), but otherwise, no. I don't suggest you do this, though; directing your own workers is far more efficient.

I know whay you mean, though. This was the one thing about the 'home city' concept in Civ2 that I miss.

Thanks for the info, I've been playing for some time and I could never keep track. I know you can view approx where they are in the Military Screen, under units, but it's not too precise.
Thanks though

<shift> I or <CTRL> <SHIFT> I

but ditto on the efficiency. If I Automate I have to send them back to fix all the stuff they "improved" wrong

Why do you want to be able to tell what city the worker came from? In Civ 2, the unit-city identification was there since the cities supported the units, instead of the general empire supporting them like in Civ 3. And what do you mean by city screen? Do you mean the city status screen that you get when you double click on a city? If so, by "workers" do you mean "laboring citizens"? If so, you can move them around (make them work different squares than they already are) by clicking on a worked square, then a non-worked square. If you mean workers as in the units, then that makes no sense if by city screen you mean the city status screen, since units don't appear there (except for in the garrison box).

If you are like me, when there are workers on Shift I orders and workers on Auto, it tricky to choose which one, when you need a worker elsewhere, but don't want to stop "caring" for this city.
