If you were Aragorn, who'd it be?

Arwen - just look at her! :groucho: And she's an elf, and she's bright, and they're both in love with each other. (Movie considerations) :goodjob:

Arwen is not as fiesty, is certainly more holier-than-thou, and brings Steven Tyler as a father-in-law. As a drinking buddy, OK, but as a father-in-law, no way. I vote Eowyn.

Arwen wins with both hands tied behind her back. :p

What's this Scottish widow thing, BTW? Her fate as explained by Elrond?

in the book:Arwen

Frickin' hilarious! Will you be ok?

Wasn't a tough choice for me; I always end up with the blondes, but deep down I'm a sucker for the dark-haired types. Arwen!! :hammer:

Arwen. Always prefer dark-haired girls. Not surprising - 99% of all the girls here are dark-haired (black actually). :)

Long dark hair is good. :groucho:

Eowyn's smile is good. :groucho:

That close up of Arwen where her lips did that magic dance thing was VERY good. :groucho:

My vote goes to the Elf Maiden though I did not vote. Liv Tyler is a goooood little elf. :goodjob:

The ageless mate sounds appealing, no doubt about it.
But there are also joys that accompany growing old together.
Personally, Eowyn is a hot woman who is strong, confident and rugged. More my cup o tea.

;)

edit: oops! I think I already did :p

The Scottish Widow reference...

In the FILM Elrond tells Arwen that to stay means that she will not age, not die and so still be around when the world of men falls and will be all alone. In the book, she becomes mortal, plain and simple.

"Scottish Widows" is a company that deals in life insurance and was setup after the Battle of Wellington to provide for widows of soldiers. NOW, in Britain their adverts have a lovely looking female (a tad like Arwen) going around in a large black clock around expensive and empty properties cos she is loaded cos the husband has snuffed it.

See the link!

OK, I just watched it the movie for the second time, and hands down, it's Arwen.

Eowyn is too... homely. Yes, I know she's supposed to be nobility, but Arwen is divine (in many ways).

BTW, glad to see she's winning in the poll now. I got worried back there.

The Very Secret Diary of Aragorn, Son of Arathorn
Day 28:

Beginning to find Frodo disturbingly attractive. Have a feeling if I make a move, Sam would kill me. Also, hairy feet kind of a turn-off.
Still not King.
