ikernal error in installation

This didn't happen on my other computer yesterday!!

This computer is Windows 98

When I try and install Civilization III Gold on this computer, I get an error saying they can't install ikernal.exe

I went to see if it was there or not and it's listed as ikernal.ex_

What do I do?

Do you have any more detail on the error message?
