I'm losing my nerves!!

Dear All,

I'm new to this forum and this is my first post. It's perhaps not the most nice way to start the life in this forum, but I must write about this now:

Could someone please let me know the easiest way to get a working World map to Civ3, and also the way to get the game place the units to their right places (always when I start, for example, with England, it's always in the position of Japan etc.) ? I've tried some scenarios and also some placement tool, but they seem not to work (or then I cannot use them properly..I'm not a guru with any kind of DOS programs etc. programming).

I CANNOT UNDERSTAND how it is SO DIFFICULT for Civ3 team to MAKE A WORKING WORLD MAP and PLACE THE UNITS TO RIGHT PLACES!! It is RIDICULOUS that this kind of bug exists in this game, because it didn't exist in Civ2!! And WHY it is not fixed with version 1.21?? This is really annoying me. I almost feel like returning the game to shop and getting my money back. Imagine the customers who bought this game and don't have Internet to get the possible upgrades for this bug(again: WHY there isn't a simple upgrade for this bug??)!!

Please someone, provide some help for me. Thank you very much!!

And look for the utilities that will allow you to do this. Don't post any new threads as that forum is for the posting of utilities only. You can, however, go into threads already posted and ask question. I hope this helps.

I agree that this feature should have been included, but there are a couple fan made World Maps out there. Marla's map - as well as others, has a built in 'correct starting location' utility (check in the Mods section of the forum).
Unless it has been corrected, this correct location utility was built to work with the previous patches. I am not sure that it will work with 1.21. If not, it will only be a matter of time before someone updates it.
