Hi I have a very important question;

I play a game on a continent with 6 other civilizations on it.
Sometimes I play the game with the PowerBarTrainerv1.17f
from Crusaderjoe and manipulate the savegame with the CivMultiTool from Gramphos! Just to see what they can do!

Now the question:

Durin the war against greece I destroyed the greece Empire( 5 cities) these were there only cities, but the weren`t destroyed!!
WHY???? There is no other space on the continent and there are also only other 2 other continents, where are the Persians and Indians, so they(Greek) don`t have any colony on an other continent and they don`t have any city on the the mother-continent!! Are they immortal or do they live in another dimension????? ;) Even the PowerBar trainer doesn`t show any city of the Greek! The same problem happened when I destroyed the English!! WHY???
But at the beginning, when I destroyed the Russians, the military advisor told me, that they are destroyed!!
When I plant a spy in ?greece? and ?england? he doesn´tshow me any cities. Even if I made peace with the two nations and change world map or if I want a city from them, there IS NOT ANY CITY of the two, but they are shown at the Foreign Advisor screen!!

Can someone explain me that???

prolly a ship with a settler on it :/
usualy the game will crash on killing that ship (don't know if its the same in this path)

Dear SafaN

The same thing happens to me. I find a ship and when I destroy it the gamje crushes:nuke: !!

Do you know why??
Let us wait for other post` perhaps they can help us, if not I will ask if possible the Forum-administrator!

Thanks

It can't be a big deal - just ignore them until the end, you know you conquered the world or whatever, and if your in republic the war weariness never gets THAT bad.

It's happened to me in three or four games. I just wait until the ship lands the settler. Eventually, it happens.

If this happened to me here is how I would deal with it. When this happens you will have to reload to a point before you destroyed the last city and find the ship and destroy it. Download the separate Editor for 1.17f (I think the included 1.17f editor is broken) Save the game at the point before you destroy the last city and exit to desktop. Execute the Civ3edit.exe program in the Civ3 directory and load the civ3mod.bic file. Change the civ3mod.bic file to allow your ship to move 99 spaces then find the enemy ship and destroy it save the game again and re-edit the civ3mod.bic back to normal movement rates (because if you dont all the civilizations will have 99 space movement during the next AI turn) Reload and finish off the last city. This procedure sounds like a pain but so is living with war weariness and a buggy enemy settler ship.

Happened to me once. Wierd.
Destroyed the last Russian city, but Russia still existed.
Had my spy (In game: espionage, with a spy in Russia) look for all remaining units. She had one ship, no cities, no other units. None. And it was a destroyer. So, I asked for peace and got it. No booty--she had nothing left to give.
Next turn My MPP with France kicks in: Russia attack my sister...
Next turn France and Russia make peace., so I have to go hunt her down. Found a Russian city with a French name in the arctic.
Pop one, no defenders, but a destroyer standing by.

Now here is wierd. Destroyers cannot capture a city. They cannot carry troops, including settlers. Not that she had any.
the city--was a one-square island. Looks like Russia stepped back in time to SMAC.

It wasnt hard to recapture:D but I had to trade world maps with France for it so show up on a current map.

Thanks, but this shouldn`t happen normally!! Perhaps this is a bug, but an evil bug. Because the same thing happened to me in v1.07, v1.16 and v1.17!!!

And in my case, I described it before, when I destroyed the English, they were a young nation and didn`t have any coastal city, so how can they build a sea-unit!! It`s interesting! Do you have the save game. Can you attache it! As you want.
I think I`ll report this bug!

Thanks
