And TGL:

And most importantly, the Sistine:

I'm all set up for culture. Even with my pathetic tech rate I still win lib:

Take Nat.

And gearing up for culture. I plan to use the Taj GA to switch into FS/Caste/Pac for culture. 2 religions are up, and Sitting Bull is in WHEOOHRN and is going after Pacal (has been pleased w/me since I switched to Confu)

Land:

SW Floodplains city, cap, and far west city are the 3 culture cities. The far west one was bombed once, and the settled Music GA was settled in the floodplains city.

Off the autosave to 1836 Culture (Imm/normal)

Spoiler :

Built Taj and used a scientist from TGL for a golden age. Taj made it a double GA which pumped my out a couple of Great Artists. From there it was just farming artists and hitting end turn. This results in a very quick and easy culture win:

Builds:

3rd most built was Great Artists  9 is Okay, not spectacular. Very quick game.

Crap culture scores FOR THE WIN! I don't enjoy cheesing culture, but it's a quick game which is fine. Darius signs DPs at pleased, and he had vassaled JC and Zara. This basically eliminated anybody declaring on me at all. I roleplayed the AI Williem!

Thanks for hosting TMIT!

After watching a bunch of TMIT's let's plays, I was eager to get back into the game. Previously, I had only played on Noble at the highest difficulty setting and I managed that pretty well and even better since I watched the aforementioned let's plays. :D

So I was lurking on the forums and and I saw this thread. With Willem van Oranje being one my favourite leaders, I was intrigued. Feeling the hubris, I thought "what the heck! Let's play on immortal and post about the experience here". I did manage the early game fairly well, with barbarians and whatnot, but I was horribly out-teched during the game and I decided to try a cultural win with access to both stone and marble, I even managed to get the Great Library and the Sistine Chapel. Though needless to say, it went pretty badly. With other culture whores such as Zara Yaqob successfully out-culturing me, the whole train-wreck culminated in me getting Isabella's forces up my butt.

First image, about four hours of game time, shortly after Sitting Bull proving the earth was round (which was not that long after I lost liberalism. I forgot to take screenshots before this):

Aaaaand here's the funny one:
Spoiler :

Notice Isabella's forces in the north-west next to Rotterdam? That's what I thought she had and I did not notice that she had another invasion force coming directly at my capital. She conquered my capital with no chance of me winning it back.

After what happened in the second image, I can honestly say I'm moving quickly towards annihilation with no chance of recuperation. Well, it was fun. You live and learn. ;)
