WAR!

Angered by American provokations, Britain Goes to War

The British government has announced that in responce to continuing American agressions against our Allies, Britain has no choice but to go to declare war against the United States.

Royal Navy Draws First Blood

The brave sailors of the Royal Navy have had the honour of firing the first shots against the United States. The RN's Indian Ocean fleet has sunk a pair of American warships which were menacing our links with India. The Australian and China squadrons of the Pacific Fleet have also enjoyed sucess, sinking a number of American transports. The Atlantic fleet found strangely little American naval activity, though a transport was sunk off Bermuda. In the Meditteranean, an American warship has been sent to the bottom off Cofu.

Canadians Raid the United States!

The Royal Calgary Dragoons have staged a bold raid on the United States, ambusing and capturing a party of explorers in the Montana Territory. While this action was not of great significance in itself, the fact that the Dragoons were able to easily penetrate American territory in this way will doubtless humiliate the American warlords in Washington DC.

Empire Takes up Arms

Citizens from across the British Empire are rushing to enlist in the Imperial Armed forces. Thousands of Australian Marines and Artillerymen are in training. The Canadians are organising a massive force of Cavalry and Artillery. Chinese soldiers are drilling in the fields outside Hong Kong. Indian sailors are practicing gunnery off Bombay. South Africans are bording transports for overseas duty. All have one purpose: to defend their beloved empire!

Situation with France Uncertain

Following the British declaration against the United States, France's Ambassador to London, Mr A.I. issued an automatic declaration against Britain. The British Government respectfully requests that France clarify it's position on this matter. Britain did not attack any French intrests following this declaration, and wishes no harm to France, hoping that France will remain out of this terrible war.

edit. The file was uploaded after all. I suspect that it still won't work, as I encountered the same problems as when I put the first file up.

Still dead. :( Could you just put the .net itself into the upload feature and post the link?

Here's hoping for third time lucky...

Edit: the upload and post process worked fine this time. This save should be usable.

Britain will pay dearly for her folly to enter the conflict.
The USA is outraged by the unprovoked attack  .

Oh, and the file works fine indeed :goodjob:

Russian Trade Continues to Flourish

Proving that the U.S. does not own the seas, Russian merchants still bring their goods to overseas ports. This month a huge shipment of gold from mines around Perm complemented British reserves in Port Moresby, giving a huge boost to the Russian military budget. Thousands of tons of manufactured goods still sail to their destinations around the globe unabated.

Mobilization Draws to a Close

In a testament to Russia's advanced rail system and merchant marine, absolutely all of the Russian regular and conscript armies have arrived in Turkey. The garrison of Constantinople is estimated to be over a million men.

Meanwhile, thanks to scientists and military advisors sent by our German friends, numerous batteries of heavy artillery have been rushed to completion. Our own advisors have gone to London and Tokyo to introduce advanced ballistics to their militaries.

Japan Modernizes and Mobilizes Her Forces
With the generous Russian technicians, Japan is quickly producing Heavy Artillery units to be used against the Yankee imperialists. Though the official statistics have not been consulted, Japan expects to have a higher percentage of her population in the military than any other nation before long.

Forces Land at Ningpo
Japanese troops and artillery have dug in outside of the American held city of Ningpo, promising their Chinese brothers that it shall be liberated from the white imperialists. Chinese peasants have been very generous to the valiant troops, providing them with extra food and water and even flowers, and many say they anxiously await the day that the Americans tyrannize their lives no longer.

Heavy fighting took place in and around Ningpo this month. The Japanese fortress overlooking the city was bombarded heavily by artillery from the Ningpo garrison. Thick smoke and many fires could be seen from the city, and it was evident the enemy had taken quite a beating. Evident as well was that there were a lot of enemies to be beaten…
The next day aerial bombardments made a mess of the Japanese formations that had dug in, and the US Navy joined the battle. Shore bombardments followed when the light cruiser Chester had blown its way through the fleet of three steamers that had landed the troops, giving some indication on the expected strength of the invading army. The beseiging army was decimated when more cruisers joined the action. The light cruiser Salem rushed to the landing zone from its patrol zone east of Japan, sunk another transport before it exchanged fire with Japanese forces ashore. While fire from its main 5" guns was directed to Japanese troops in the improvised fortress, the ship received multiple hits from the Japanese Field Artillery, and it sunk in the shallow waters northwest of Ningpo. Now that the Japanese artillery had shown its position, the remaining ships redirected their fire to these batteries, and they destroyed four of them, taking heavy damage in the process. Allthough the Japanese still hold the fortress, the city appears to be safe for the time being…

The USA Northern Coast Guard, a formidable one and dubbed by many the 8th Fleet struck at Toronto in the early hours of March 21st. The fleet consisted of an outdated Ironclad, two old steamers and a modern Armoured Cruiser. A newly constructed Battleship entered service the same day, and acted as Flagship.
The Ironclad Detroit initiated the assault, expected to draw fire from coastal batteries, who could then in turn be bombarded by the more powerfull vessels. To the crew's great surprise, they entered port unopposed, and they bombarded the fortifications near the docks, catching the garrison by surprise. Seeing the way to the port was clear, the Flagship Michigan followed suit, bombarding the barracks of Toronto, destroying a second battalion of British troops, a battery of Cannons, and two batteries of Field artillery. Then the Armoured Cruiser Pittsburgh was send in and it took out the remaining artillery batallion.
Toronto was then entered by US Troops from Detroit, and many British soldiers fled north. Robed of their equipment, they soon fell prey to the US army in persuit, and the powerfull guns of the Pittsburgh.
US forces, assembled to storm the gates of Toronto, now marched much further and lay seige to Ottawa instead. Aerial bombardments have allready caused heavoc in the city, and the city is expected to fall in the next month.

In the Carribean, Operation 'Sugar Cane' was unleashed upon the British colonies.
The powerfull US 1st Fleet, boosted by the newly build Battleships 'Maine', 'Texas' and 'Indiana' bombarded the islands Jamaica, New Providence and Bermuda, aided by auxilary ships from the Coast Guard. All three islands fell in a matter of hours, and transports and warships were able to transfer US Troops to secure the island groups, exept for the island Eleuthera of the Bahamas where Iregulars took refuge when Nassau was captured.
The Battleship 'Maine' then proceded to Belize, where it singlehandedly destroyed the British garrison. Expecting heavy resistence in the jungles of Belize, a strong force was send to capture the city, and Machine Guns have been set up guarding the important mines south of the city. Remnants of the British forces have taken to the mountains of Guatemala, and it is expected it will take many months before they could be either captured or killed.

The Brits hardly put up a fight during the assaults, and US ships took very little damage, exept for the old Ironclads. All four Battleships are still fully operational, and no repairs are deemed necessarry. The Ironclads will be sold for scrap, or will end up in the Museum of Pan-American Liberty.

Atlantic:
The second Fleet has made its prescense felt to the Royal Navy. The fleet, consisting of many cruisers and the Battleship New York patroled the ocean with vigour, and four British warships were sunk. The navy lost the damaged warship Smyrna when the ship attacked a british frigate. Bombardments have been carried out on Halifax.

All of Egypt is now united under US rule. Heavy Artillery struck at the Russian garrison, while the Battleship Turkey opened fire at the harbour of Alexandria. Russian ships exploded and the garrison finally submitted to the onslaught when the light cruiser Candia joined the action. Desperate cossacks took to the delta, but without their horses, half of them were easily annihilated with a barrage from Candia's guns. A search party has been send out to neutralize the remaining group, beleived to be stuck in the marshes east of Alexandria. At the quay many crates were found with parts for Heavy Artillery, and US forces have been lucky these guns had not been assembled yet.
Aerial bombardments were carried out on the ports of Saloniki and Istanbul, sinking two vessels. The wrecks will block all traffic from the ports for at least a month.

More air power made way for the unification of Uzbekistan, when Tashkent fell to Uzbek horsemen in US Cavalry uniforms. Russian backed Uzbek forces took to the mountains near Kokand. It is uncertain if the Russians will receive a warm welcome by the Tadjiks or not.
