Before you read, KNOW THAT I AM ONLY 13!! So you will see spelling errors, just please overlook them. I am interested in history, read books and watch T.V., but compared to many people on civfanatics, I don't know anything  , so don't get mad at me if I choose a terrible leader or something of the such.
I'm sure many people have different ideas in what new features they would like in civ4. This can be anything from different units, improvements, units, and so on.
1) I would like the feature for a female and male leader for each nation, so you could deside who you would be able to use.
2)A choice of a UU from maybe 2 or 3 choices at the begining, or something close to it. Since, im sure not many people like the USA's f-16, instead, we should have something like M1A1(replacing MA) or Minute Man(replacing Musket Man). Maybe the UUs from the leaders time period, but im still undecided about this.
3) :king: New leaders for:
America-Washington(If it wasn't for him we wouldn't of had a country in the first place, and more people know him then Lincoln.
Russia-Peter the Great, or just keep Cathrine
France-Napolean maybe, or Charlemange(not sure how to spell, lol :D ).
Egypt-Ptomley
Byzintines-Justinian(or maybe take them out, they are basically Rome, like there is no Confederate America, there is just USA).
Persia-Darius
There might be more people I would like to replace but I can't remember.:wallbash:
New civs:
Austro-Hungarian Empire-Franz Ferdinand, I guess
Cherokee(or other American Indian tribes,)-dunno
Mexico-General De Santa Anna
Not sure of any more, if I stayed here for a few hours I could come up with a couple more!
New Resources:
Bronze
Misc new things:
territorys-An area that is allready claimed by you, where noone could settle in it. It would have a plantation in the middle, that would send back strat resources that are discovered there, and other resources. You might have like 20 tiles or something for like a huge map, or maybe more. You could settle in this land, and they would all be free, unless over sea. You could pick and tiles, and say like one that might be 5 squares or up might have a plantation, not all of them. You could also use them for bargaining, or trade them for money.
Better interaction with other nations, better embassies, and better espionage.
More governments-such as Contstitutional Monarchy and Dictatorship
More units, can't think of many real quick.

Well, thats about all. I hope more people post here with their ideas! :D

EDIT:Have been Playing Civ3 for 2 years.

K, thx. Didn't know there was a forum for it,lol :D . Yeah, I think depotism is some form of a Dictatorship.

Many of your suggestions can be accomplished in Civ3. I think civ4 should focus on more in-depth changes to the game, to warrant the $50 it will cost me, rather than an improved civ3.

Yeah, it needs to be more in-depth. They need more options and different responses in the diplomacy screen.

Greetings all.I have been an avid player of Civ 2,Civ 3 and hopefully Civ 4 (Im a Mac User). What I would like to see in unit improvements in Civ 4 are
1.Naval Carrier Battle groups and Combat air wings(CBG's as well as CAW's or even CSG's ) The US navy uses them and I think its a great idea.Or the ability to put a fleet together (maybe designate a flag ship as well) and move them as one??In Civ 3 you an put an army together ( as in only 3 ubnits then 4 ) Whay couldn't you do that with a navy.
2.I like the idea of having an amphibious (spelled wrong Im sure) assault group. As in better deployed ( and stealthly) marines or special forces ( As in Detla force, commandos ,Green Berets ) and so on .either launched by subs or off of Helicopter assault carriers .
3. More unique units such as Harriers aircraft,French Mirage fighter jets ,Soviet or Chinese Migs ,Russian subs ,and so on.Thanks for the space .Cheers!

I like the idea of the battle group, that would be pretty cool. I was thinking the civs have like maybe 2 or 3 special units, each in a different era. Or, a civ could have maybe 5 UUs, but, before the game, you got to pick maybe two or three out of the lot.

Also, I forgot to list this in my first post, a non-agression pact. This treaty, signed by two nations or more, would be like no enemy units in a certain amout on squares of an enemy city or territory, unless you have right of passage, or a decleration of war against a third party, and they have to get through your territory to get there, or if they are defending a city.

Greece's Hoplites should be able to hook up, say in a group of three or so, to make a Phalanx. That's what the Hoplites are famous for anyway!

How about some advanced options for aircraft, missiles and troops; i.e. bombers cost 2 spaces on a carrier or airfield while fighters cost only one (airbases have limited capacity, like in reality), same for missiles (nuclear missiles are bigger than cruise missile). Troops also take more space in a transport i.e. workers take 1 space but tanks and colonists take 2. I also think you should be able to draft citizens into 'population' units that can be airlifted to other cities to speed up growth in those cities, along with city variable tax rates. Airlifts should also be limited i.e. can only send/recieve 8 units per turn.

I am also 13, sinister. Most people dont notice because im just as smart as half of the guys here (not really) but hey. At least i can hold an intelligent conversation with them.

Anyways......

I would like to see....

1)Smarter AI
2)More than one UU per civ
3)Religion (already in there)
4)City Improvements-Town Hall, Train Station (Mass Transit in Civ3, but for Industrial age)
5)Theres alot more good ideas on the forum. just look around

good idea.

New unit-Navy Seal

UU-(American)-US Navy Seal

That could be like an Upgrade from the Marine.

Well, this isn't an ageist forum. We don't care how old you are. Just like the Oscars, there's no separate childrens' category for the "hey, he's actually rather cool with something intelligent to say" prize. On the other hand, if you win that prize, you have the honour of beating all the grown-ups. That said...

Byzintines-Justinian(or maybe take them out, they are basically Rome, like there is no Confederate America, there is just USA).

If the Confederates had lasted for over a thousand years after the USA had ceased to exist, you would have made a valid analogy. The Byzantines actually lasted LONGER than most of the civs that are in the game.

New Resources:
Bronze

And Bronze doesn't exist in the natural world, except by freak chance. Its an alloy of copper and tin. But the big reason not to make this one an issue is that there is only one (non-UU) unit that would make use of it from vanilla C3 Conquests. As a resource, it's too limited in scope.

LOL yeah, that surely made you look VERY mature.
please, i couldn't care less about my interlocutor's age, but try not to say things like that, it makes you sound very, very young.

They did last for a much longer time then eastern Rome, but I don't use the Bzyintines much at all though...

For a US's UU I was thinking a Minute Man.
