So I've been tinkering around BTS, and I've painted myself into a corner here.
I play lots of marathon games and see tiles get hit with fallout, glow for 2-3 turns and then return to normal. So I started tinkering with the XML to keep fallout around longer, preferably until its scrubbed away by a worker unit.
I did find one line of XML code under the fallout entry entitled something like "refresh" or "respawn" or maybe just "spawn." This was set to 100 (I think, I don't have the XML file here in front of me at work), so I started playing with it. I turned it up to 500 and then 1000, but the fallout just disappeared quicker, usually 1 turn after appearing. I then set it to 0, and the fallout appears to stay there until it's scrubbed away.
The snag I'm hitting is that the AI apparently doesn't have a high priority on cleaning up fallout (if it has any). Before the changes, I guess the AI was content to ride out the fallout and then just rebuild after it cleared. But with the fallout not going away on its own, the AI just sits there with glow-in-the-dark lands all around it.
How do I modify the AI's worker instructions to have them clean up fall out? I'm guessing there's some sort of hierarchy of improvements that the AI goes by, but I'm just guessing on my part. I'm open to any suggestions. Thanks.
