incorrect CD???

I have just received my copy of civilization iv today
after i successfully installed the game and the latest patch downloaded from the official site, i tried running the game.
i have the first disc in the CD-ROM drive as requested in the readme but i received a dialog box which says "please insert the correct CD-ROM, select OK and restart application".
i tried inserting the 2nd disc as well but it's still not working
I have ordered this through amazon.com (directly from amazon and not the individual sellers) and it came in a sealed original package through UPS so it could not have been a pirated version.
btw, i tried unistalling it and reinstall again, the problem still exists

I have original copy/package (in my country laws are to be followed). I tried it during several days using all known means. Disk doesn't work. I found one solution. It's not any more legal.

daemon tools causes it. Well it caused it my case. I uninstalled it and civ 4 works fine.

That's strange - I have Daemon Tools installed all the time, but unless I try to use it with an image of my DVD I can play the game just fine if I pop the DVD into my DVD drive. Of course, since it starts so much faster using an image and it's less hassle, I'm using SD4Hide.

Even with sdhide I couldnt make it work, so im making do by having the cd in the drive untill the 1.52 nocd comes out.

I don't have daemon tools or any cd copying programme installed and I have this problem. I wan't to find the black list so I know what this stupic copy protection is ar5eing about.
