India Strategy

Indeed. I always find it hard to finish civ games because civ is a lot of making blind decisions and learning from them when you're starting out, something I loathe to do. I'm a schemer.
 
I agree with the post above to plant the first Engineer. That's quite a bit of production that early in the game. As for other Wonders, that depends on your game difficulty. If Immortal or lower, you can get a Petra too if you beeline for it or, if you don't have deserts, you can aim for Great Library or Hanging Gardens. I think, on Emperor or lower, you can actually get another Wonder on the second column of the Ancient Era techs if you are a big gambler like Temple of Artemis or such. Otherwise, Classical Age is where most of you future Wonders will be located.

I happen to be playing India again now and went Tradition/Beauty on standard/standard/immortal. I was able to grab Stonehenge, Pyramids, and Hanging Garden. My guess is that I used a GE for Pyramids but can't remember for sure.
