Great job on posting all the compilations, Catfish, in all of the threads! :goodjob:

Total classical work by all - No one can deny that CIV2 has reached the ultimate evolution of GFX!

I thought I'd get busy showcasing Fairline's work while there was a a bit of bustle around the place. ;) It's an incredible volume of work, and I've only posted his more recent stuff. The man's a machine.

Very nice collection of units Fairline...

And love that Black and Tans BC1871

Some early steam warships. French and English first floating batteries, steel screw frigate (Inconstant), early protected cruiser (Leander).

I have no good images of Inconstant-class, so some details should be wrong.

Great work on the floating batteries. As per ship images, if you want high quality illustrations, check out "Fighting Ships of the World" series, which though admittedly has a few errors, here and there, it's one of the best visual references for Victorian Era warships.

Nice units keu. I have an old book called "Sea Power" and the stuff about the first Ironclads, the Black Snakes of the Channel and Capital ships is fascinating. You don't often see illustrations of these pioneering ships. I love the transition between Napoleonic Ships of the Line with full rigging and the metal hulled ships of the later 19th century, truly strange looking hybrids.

I deny it, as these graphics are not yet animated. :D
Of course these graphics are magnificent. :)

I'd love to try animating some units, but the work involved and ToT's dubious system make it a remote prospect!

I will reopen a thread about animated Civ II ToT units when the time is ripe for it. :)

I suppose coming up with a scenario using a limited amount of units could be possible? :)

I am thinking of something like an "Axis and Allies" scenario where generic units are used...
