I assume that most people have seen this happen, but...

An escorted settler (or a whole mob of them) turns up in your territory, but they're not from any of the neighbouring Civs but from one on the other side of the world... How did they get there?
It's (say) about 150 AD and no-one is anywhere near being able to negotiate a real RoP...

It seems that all the AI Civs will quite happily allow each others units to wander around in their territory, but if I try it...? (you know the answer to THAT one)

Firaxis, if you're listening: fix it. It is VERY annoying

Zouave call this Settler's diarrhee.

Very annoying.

It's supposed to be fixed in the 1.21 but I didn't try yet.

pretty simple to explain this one -- early in the game, there are lots of little hopscotch holes the AI can go to, being in 'enemy' territory for only a turn or two before hitting neutral ground.

also, if FORCED to leave, they may be sent to the nearest neutral square, which might just happen to be on the 'far' side of hte enemy empire.

Ive had galleys sent across ocean this way. its not cheating, its a quirk of the game.
