Initial frustrations with civ6

Just started testing civ6 and very frustrated. Perhaps there are quick answers to my concerns:

1- units are extremely hard to figure out which tile they are on,
2- resources are mini icons and even with large monitor they are hard to see
3- world builder doesn't seem to allow modifying a saved game.

Just frustrating and very tempted to return to older versions. There are many new features that might be interesting to experience, but finding units and resources is really killing the joy.

You can use the in-game search function to find these. Magnifying glass button above the minimap bottom left of the screen. Click it and type in whatever you want to find - those tiles will be highlighted then. You can look for specifics, e.g., ‘stone’ or ‘coal’ or ‘Sumeria builder’, or things in general, like ‘bonus resources’, ‘strategic resources’, etc.

You could try "strategic mode" to view the map, giving you a straight top-down view, but I find it messy compared to Civ 5's version.

It should be simple to have a toggle/button option to show a resource, i.e., iron. The small white circle around them is not enough. Why can't we zoom all to see all iron tiles in available world? ugh. Really not impressed with civ6.

In case someone later reads this thread, the key to finding resources is 1) toggle strategy view for map, in mini map button, and 2) if constant problem, add a map label.

Have fun...
