Install error - Setup will not run

Please Help - I'm getting the following error when I attempt to install:

"Setup.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close."

Error signature

Just bought it - new. I'm running WIN XP an as far as I can see - meet the spec requirements.

I'm running Windows 7. Just bought this laptop 2 weeks ago. The PGUID code isn't showing up in the regedit. So I'm stuck right now. And i can't find how to locate the uninstall shield to delete anything as well. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I found out this with another game so i hope it works for you guys too.

Firstly you need to go to Program files and make a new folder similar to the one the setup is trying to create.

Then once you put the disc in go to My Computer and explore the disc (maybe "open")

Find the setup application double click it and wait for a bit. It takes a while for it to start. 3mins for me but others had to wait 10mins.

Once it starts install like normal until it asks where to save the files. Save them to the folder you made just before. It should then.
