I posted this in Tech Support, but it's gone quite some time without any form of response and I have no idea why.So, I'm posting it here too since it -is- a mod-exclusive problem.

Anyway, here's what I wrote there:

I play Civ V on my Macbook Pro (Steam version, not App Store) and several months ago I commented out that line to enable mods, which worked well for a while. I never did anything major, but I did use YnAEMP and some of the CS mods that come with it quite successfully.

Recently I decided I wanted to try some other mods, so I tried installing CivUP/VEM, R.E.D., and City State Diplomacy. It crashed when I clicked "Install Mods." I figured this might be since I was attempting to install multiple large mods at once, so I cut it down to just one. Each one also failed individually. I tried clearing the Cache folder and most other things on the Common Checklist, but those didn't work either. The "Install Mods" button just immediately causes a crash/error message no matter what I do.

What is causing this? The Mac version finally got updated, so I assume the mods that are linked to on their respective threads are up to date for my patch. Then again, I may be completely wrong and this could be a really stupid question, which is why I'm asking here. Help, please please please!
