CivMods: Civ 7 Mods Manager

CivMods: Civ7 Mods Manager discussion v0.8.1

You can do everything on this site that CivMods does, just go to the downloads section.

Yes, thank you. This solution you have found is not new. In fact, it was how mods were installed and used ~20 years ago when I first joined CivFanatics. I'm not a frequent commenter--you'll notice that 15 year span between comments if you look in my history--but I've been playing since Civ I and modding or using mods since they first became a thing.

I'm not 100% certain why your responses are to not use this mod or "Steam will have something soon". The person who made this mod did a good thing, and I plan to keep using this until their very clever mod gets fully integrated or they stop updating. As a creator, I would want to know if something I had made was having problems. Your other comment to someone else about using mods only by creators who update within several days of a patch smacks of disrespect to modders. It's fine if that's your philosophy, but why are you so aggressive about all of this? You could have not made any comments in this thread, and everyone in this thread would be in the same position.

EDIT: Also, the mod is working as intended now.

I’m not saying to not use it, I was merely letting them know that they can be downloaded here also until CivMods is repaired.
Steam workshop has always been my preferred choice for downloading mods and I’ve been using it for many years with no issues.
I wasn’t being aggressive I was merely saying that some mod creators lose interest and don’t update their mods as often as others do, which can cause issues when new patches are released both with that mod and compatibility issues with other mods, these issues cause me to have to figure out which mod is causing the issue so I can disable it.

Does steamworkshop support make this EOL?
I'll continue to support CivMods indefinitely. Last issues were due to some network problems & misconfiguration, but they've got fixed, just to explain it doesn't mean CivMods is abandoned.

Anyway I understand the majority of players will use Steam Workshop, and I think having more options is always a good thing.
