Install Question?

Is it possible to install the game on another hard drive on the same computer? I would like to have the original game running from one of my hard drives, ie: no mods., and have another one with the DyP Mod on it.
When I put the game CD in the cd drive it seems to only want to reinstall it, not allow an install with me telling it where to do it.
