Installation Problem - Vista

This image is what i get when i try to install CIV IV on my laptop. I use to be able to install it with XP, no problem but I just recently upgraded to Vista and updated my video drivers.

Scratched or dirty disc.

unfortunately its not as easy as a dirty disc.

Is that a CRC error? My eyes are old.

Return the disc to the store for an exchange.

Tried copying the discs to the hard drive & running setup from there? I haven't tried this with Civ 4, but I have done it with many other games.

Only happen in Vista?

I have a Vista VaIo and i got this exact problem.

no it is not vista only since i tryed this with my (OLD OLD OLD) laptop which is a XP.

problem with disc or drive.

make sure the disc is clean.

try copying to hard drive first, then running setup from there.

if you have a drive on different system that will read it, share the drive and install across network.

if you don't have another computer, find a friend.

if nothing will read the disc... *shrug* dunno what to tell ya =P This is why I create install backups of all my games.
