Installation Problems

Folks,
I have a BRAND new Dell XPS desktop and just bought Civ IV gold edition. When I try to install the game it installs half of the first cd but then the installation shuts down and gives me an error. The error says:

Feature: Default Feature
Component: Civ IV component
File: E:\data2.cab
Error: The device is not ready

Does anyone know what this means?

Please help, this is pissing me off

try copying all disc(s) to one folder on your hard drive and run the setup.exe from there.
