Installing on a second computer

I'm currently attempting to install Civ V on my new computer after already having installed it on my laptop. However, steam insists on making me download the game instead of installing it off the disk. i really dont wanna go through a 4 hour download, is there anyway to fix this?

Get rid of steam on this computer completely, than download steam separatly, install it first, and afterwards try to install Civ from the disk.

Try to put steam on the old computer in offline mode and then make sure its not set to be installed in steam on the other computer before you put the disc in and try to install it.
