Well – due to the unfortunate (for me) timing of when we got the save and the fact that my internet was totally on the fritz last night…

I won't be able to play the save until about 1 hour before it's due.

Since we'll be cutting it kinda close, I thought I'd post here so there's no last minute panic.

If we don't want to hold up the save that long, I'd have no problem with Chamnix playing the save… but I don't think it's necessary.


P.S. I haven't been mentioning it my updates, but I have been cycling through our towns and looking for chances to get more specialists every turn. I know I'm not as acute as Chamnix… but I always manage to add quite a few each turn.

Actually, Captain Azza would be next in line if you are unavailable... in any case, if it fell to me, I couldn't play until about 2-3 hours before it is due either, so we wouldn't be saving much time by me playing. As long as you can get it done timely, I would say wait.

And it does show :thumbsup:. Looking through cities, almost all citizens in corrupt towns are working high food tiles except in cities that have just grown and had the governor make a stupid assignment. I figure I'll just keep mentioning it, so if you miss one or two, you won't be able to blame the always diligent Domestic Minister for not providing instructions ;).

I can't believe how fast that turn came around.

This really puts me in a bind.
I opened the save this morning, but realized I didn't have nearly enough time before work when I saw this…

Aaarg! Those Dnuts! :mad: I wish they could have waited just 1 turn for us to upgrade the cannons!!! :lol:

Anyway – with all the builds to be switched and the battle of our life on our hands… I knew it was going to take longer to play than the 45 mins-1 hour I had… and that would have been getting to work late.

Now – my wife and I have invited some friends over for tonight – and they'll probably stay pretty late - we haven't seen them in a long time. That makes my next available time to play the save on Saturday morning… about 24 hours from the time of this post. That's about 12 hours overdue.
(would have been fine, if KISS/Nuts hadn't turned the save around in 1 hour each!)

So – we can either ask for an extension, or someone else can play the save.
I know Azza is next in line… but given Chamnix's proven track record in wartime, I'm sure no one would mind if Chamnix played this save.

@ Chamnix: If you don't want to/don't have the time, I'll request an extension in the UN.

I will have time to play the save tonight if you and azza can't, and I don't mind doing it.

If I play, I would prefer to send the save to our gmail, and you can forward it on to KISS and post in the turn-tracker thread. I would rather do it that way and not request an extension if possible so nobody thinks we are scared.

Your "tonight" may be even before I've gone home from work – but either way, I can take a break from chatting with our friends to check for an e-mail to forward… they're geeks also and will totally understand :)

Azzaman was online but didn't say that he would play, so this is an official "got it"... but it will probably take me forever to play this turn because I will rejig all of our towns to adjust for mobilization shields...

Quite frankly, I'm not just a little bit insulted by our enemies' oversight in failing to send an elite squad to hunt me down, as they have done for Chamnis, General_W, Classical Hero, and Donsig (tho' only a conscript - was that intentional, I wonder?)

I can only assume that they have overestimated the power of the presidencies ;)

There are many corrupt towns where the luxury slider doesn't help that will need extra specialists. If you can find a way to get Combustion in 2, then do it.

If any infantry builds can be changed to artillery to complete in 1, then do so. Any coastal infantry builds can be changed to boats if they will complete in 1.

Depending on how the battles go, you have discretion to draft infantry as needed.
