Internet Distribution

I think that Firaxis should have the option of purchasing and downloading the entire game via the internet. Not only that, Firaxis should probably go ahead and offer all of the CIV games for purchase and download via the internet. I know Civ IV will be a big download, but they could have this only be available to those with higher speed connects. This concept has perhaps been long-in-waiting and it isn't anything all that new. I've installed several pretty good-sized programs on my machine, bought and downloaded completely online. I believe this would drastically improve their sales and would also solve a large percentage of their distribution issues, particularly with international releases.

Although I would like this idea as well, I see the problems in it:
1) creation and maintenance for a second, complete different distribution channel
2) how to maintain copy protection? (Since for the internet version there would be the necessity for a different copy protection, this means a second version of the game to some extent)
