Well - does anybody have any ideas about this one?

I tried to create a map using Civ3 edit (supplied with the game - UK English Version - patched to v.1.17f or whatever the newest one is), but when I try to load the scenario, it says that .bic version 3.00 files are nolonger supported of something to that efect - any help or advice would be greatly appreciated!

I have experienced the same problem.

It seems that the Editor supplied with patch 1.17 creates bic files using a different format than previous versions (It now uses ver 3.00 instead of 2.10)

The v1.17 game still uses bic v2.10 files. So what I did is just download the hacked 1.16 CivEditor and install that over the 1.17 CivEditor. Now I can create scenarios that work with the new patch.

Perhaps a new patch will be released that loads v3.00 bic files?

Cheers pesoloco (is that mad fish?). I'll try that. Is the 1.16 editor the one that came on the CD? If not - how do I get it - take apart the 1.16 patch or what?

The 1.16 Editor is avaialbe in the Utilities section of the Creation Forum. Just click on this link: Hacked 1.16 Editor

You're close. Pescado is "Fish." Pesoloco literally means "Crazy Weight" but there's a little story how I got that name. I am a missionary and have done a lot of my work in Mexico. I got the nickname "peso" among my peers because I used to carry pesos( Mexican currency) in my wallet when I was back in the States. The loco ("Crazy") part was added a little bit later. But thats why I'm called "pesoloco"
