Right, I'm playing the Celts (Emperor, Huge Map and the only victory is Space Race)

From the attached save you can see that I need to Invade the Inca's (Pink) when when you look at the size of their Army it is "monsterous". So I am thinking of making peace with them after I have reached Motorised Transport (3 turns) then reseaching Amphibious Warfareand building up a fleet of 15 to 20 transports and invading them at either:

a. South - at Fustat.
b. North - at Washington.

The option I am thinking of is waiting and using about 30+ Marines plus enough infantry/tanks to hold the city once taken.

Don't train marines. The don't stand a chance against infantry. Just land some infantry and tanks on a mountain and they should survive the Incan onslaught.

Finish off the Koreans first. I planted a spy and they are not much.
Make peace with Cleo, unless you are AW or they declared on you. Why bother with them anyway.

Inca will not be hard as they have cavs and infantry. Just make all your armies as infantry till you have tanks. Land all the armies you have on a hill with a settler and as many units as you can muster.

Bring 6 flaks to do some damage to bombers, 2 are for replacements. Bring a settler. Found a town and let them kill off as many of their units as they are willing to send.

Stop making airports, they cost too much and do nothing that you need. Use regular bombers and a few fighters for recon. Make as many airfields and you need to fly over troops. Make an airfield on the invasion site as soon as you have weathered some of the counter attack and leave an army to cover it.

This means getting a worker over at some early point. Bring arties only after you bring all the defenders you have to spare.

Although I've only viewed this in CivAssist, don't you think there is a huge advantage in invading Incas BEFORE they start laying rail? This window of opportunity won't remain open forever...

Rails do not matter and they AI is not going to do it very fast as they will likely have too few workers. The amount of time needed to take down the Koreans is not large and you already have troops on the island.

I want to send many defenders and armies to the Incan land, so I want them to slam in their units. You can slow that down my putting out a few cav armies to cut roads coming in and pick a location that ofrces them to stop on the terrain.

Found the town and rush a barracks, then rush a wall.

 But they already have railways ... thats what I see when investigating a city using my spy

Incas are the pink ones. Not a single rail laid as of yet.

There ARE RAILROADS

What you are looking at in the save is old World Map that I got off the Egyptians (Astronomy) it has not been updated (renewed) since I went to war with the Inca's after I discovered Metalurgy (they wanted it and I told them to go and get stuffed)

Ddue, don't yell about that, not his fault you haven't put up a new map.

I think Longbowmen and Medieval infantry just stop from there. If I remember correctly, they both upgrade to Gureilla which sucks outright. At that point, only the cavalry - riflemen tree is useful.
