I've tried to find existing topic about this bug. And so I've already tried some solutions but nothing helps.
So this is my problem: when I start FfH there is only background image and no menu at all! All buttons work (I can click them) but I cann't see them. Some time ago (maybe 2 months) there were no problems...
My version: FfH 2.016.
What I have already done:
1. Reinstall FfH (also with CivIV) - same thing.
2. Set "HidePythonExceptions" in Config to "0". There were no exeptions.
3. Tried to rename or clear folder "CutomAssets" - didn't help too.

So, please, help me if you can!
Thanks...

Did you patch Vanilla to 1.73? I don't think FfH 2.016 will ever be compatible with the newest Firaxis patch. Also, why not just d/l FfH v0.23? Much better. ;)

And now I finally installed FfH 2.023.
THERE IS NO DIFFERENCE! I DON'T SEE MENU!
It drives me nuts...

Look for a folder called custom assets. Rename it to customassets.old. I think it would be in the Civ4 folder.

Actually woodelf, it already is, iirc, but you would need to dl the newest direct x.

.22 bug thread mentions this several times, try to look there, i found these suggestions:

1 - FFH2 0.22 seems to work as normal when installed to C:\Program Files\Firaxis Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 4\Mods\Fall from Heaven 2 022 but there is no interface when installed to C:\Documents and Settings\{USER}\My Documents\My Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 4\MODS\Fall from Heaven 2 022

This is a bit strange as I have everything since 2 011 installed in the user\my documents folder.

2 - You may (or may not) also have to clear your Civ cache. This is located at C:\Documents and Settings\{USER}\Application Data\My Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 4\cache. To clear the cache simply go to this folder and delete all of the files in the folder (Application Data may be hidden so you have to make sure you can see all file types (Tools-Folder Options from any folder in Windows)).

btw. try logging in as a user with admin privileges

2 Nikis-Knight: renaming CustomAssets has no effect.
2 TheBoatman:
- 1. my install directory is "c:\\games\civilisation IV\Mods\"
- 2. clearing cache has no effect
- 3. I have administrator privileges

Now I'll try to install Civ4 and FfH to default folder (C:\Program Files\Firaxis Games\Sid Meyer's Civilisation 4\)............... and nothing!

Latest news - FfH 1.00 works correctly. I think that there is something with my hardware.

did you change language from english to another one ?

I have the same problem. My interface is invisible. Renaming the Assets folder did't solve the problem but changing something in the grahics menu, it seems doesn't matter what, gives me the display back. Try it yourself.
