With InfoAddict just summing up this information for you?

I don't want to feel like i'm cheating when using it, lol. Features such as being able to tell the military power of every Civ every couple of hundred years in the Ancient Era. I never got told this by the game before, and I can't find a way to see it in the game. Same with number of cities.

Number of cities is always available from trading setup screen, because you can demand any city except capital

Yes InfoAddict does tell you things that are not in the standard game.

It's impossible to cheat when playing a single player game. You're just changing the rules. ;)

Now if you then went out and bragged about your high score - THAT would be cheating.

I like using InfoAddict, because I suspect the AI has most of this information available to it anyway. Also, as the supposed ruler of a world power, I find it unacceptable to not have precise information about my standing in the world. Granted, in 3000 BC censuses and scouting were probably not exact, but I should have more information on the enemy military than a general running up and shouting "Sir, Sir, the Aztecs have an army that could wipe us off the face of the planet!". Not terribly helpful for long-term strategic planning.

Another great thing about IA is that it's accessible from the diplomacy screen. No more being pressured into accepting or denying a Declaration of Friendship without knowing what the big picture is. In addition, it provides an easy way of tracking the number of turns remaining in Research Agreements (something that otherwise requires either a lot of clicking through menus or a pad and pencil). You could always choose to ignore everything except the diplomacy tab if you don't want extra information.

With the military info, normally you only get the "People with Pointiest sticks" every once in a while. But with IA, it appears IA records the "People with Pointiest" sticks record anything a menu comes up showing you world rankings. (Most fed, most wonderful, etc.)

If you get me. I assume the game records "People with the Pointiest sticks" scores whenever any world rankings menu comes up, but IA gives you that information without having to wait for it to appear in world rankings.

Basically Info Addict makes it much easier to get the info.

You could look up the formula used to derive the number of sticks; but InfoAddict saves you from having to do that calculations.
