Is build and tree progress saved

Hi - am I correct in thinking that if I am building something or progressing in the tech tree or another tree, if I switch to a different one in the middle, the progress is retained and not lost?

Also - if I research 50% of something and then get the Eureka, it will be researched instantly?

Finally, if I place a district on a tile, and then switch to a different build, I understood that this locks in the price of the district? Is this the case even if I change the build on the same turn that I placed the district?

Yes, yes, and I'm not sure what you mean with that last question, but placing a district can't be undone, to the best of my knowledge

Well I read somewhere that if you place a district tile, you "lock in" the resource price of the district so you can come back to it later and get it at the price from an earlier era (since they go up in price as more and more turns are completed).

That's correct, the price is locked in when you place the District even if you then change to another build.

It can be undone in the specific case where you play online multiplayer, where you trade the city with another player and back again. The placed district (that isnt finished) then gets undone.
Could theoretically also be done in single player if you trade it to an AI, and the retakr it through loyalty or war, although that is probably rarely if ever worth it.
