Is CFC a Democratic or Depot System?

hi ya all - i just read a really interesting post by a moderator and it got me thinking.

Who rules CFC - if the majority of CFC members wanted one thing but the Moderator's wanted something else - who would get their way?

Is CFC a Democratic or Depot System?

haha - the powers that be may not like this and I wouldn't be surprsied it gets shuts down straight away.

I'll post a poll as well so I can get your views about what type of system you think CFC is run on.

It really depends, if one moderator wants something done (like a ban), it's done. No one complains (I don't even think you're allowed to )
For bigger issues, I think TF listens to what the members have to say for the most part, at least.
CFC is kind of in the middle, IMO, it's a democratic system that could turn fascist at any moment


This thread, however, does need to be moved, proabably to the SF forum.

Neither, we're a Feudalist forum! With a Heiarchy running from the Lord/Admin Thunderfall, to each of his appointed vassals/mods, who rule over their respective feifs/threads. Then we, the humble poster/serfs live at the bottom of the pyramid, where we do nothing at all.

It's TF's site. He made it. He is the Admin. We are just the poor peons who are addicted to it. He should have all the right in the world to be a dictator and rule over us like a King over his peasants.

Consider TF pays for everything and has control of everything...it's his decisions that matter.

We all could want everything to change...new forums or whatever, but the only person with access to make those changes is TF.

Spammy...yes...but humurous all the same.

And really...they have no choice but to keep you under control because obviously with your stigma you would gain power and prestige and rise to such heights that they (tf and the mods) would no longer be able to control you.

So really...all of their mod actions against you are just to cover up their pre-consumed notions that you just may be more powerful and better than they.

The moderators enforce Thunderfall's rules, not their own ones. If we want something changed (rare), then we discuss it in the staff forum, but TF makes the final decision. We live with it.

Contrary to what many people seem to think, threads got moderated based on the the way the discussions are being progressed (the how), not the opinions expressed in the discussions (the what). The exception being when people try to post stuff that is purely offensive, sexually orientated, distasteful etc.

i'm pretty new to this forum, sorry if its in the wrong place - please feel free to move it to its appropiate place.

Never - the - less, I feel some strong currents here. Brings to mind a song " love is in the air . .. " hmm, no that's the wrong song - lol.

What would be cool would be a Member's day, or a Revoution Day when the Members can vote to ban a moderator or even the fabled TF himself (Just for a Day). - no reason in particulr - but just so we can do it, it might make all those who have been banned feel a bit better - lol, Just imagin TF roaming around the office and all the mod's wiggling their little finger and shaking their heads saying "TF - you know you've been banned for the day, we don't want to, but we can't let you go on CFC." lol - hell it would be brill if it was video'd and titled something like 'TF and the day he was banned," - it could even get posted on to the forum and everyone can watch to see what happened - lol, hehehhe

P.P.P.S - and if TF done something we all really didn't like, we could always ban him again next year to get our own back . . . - I don't know why, but the more I think about it, the more I like it.

Actually...the mods do have a lot of posts, but that's because they are long time productive members (and occational spammers).

However, the people with the most post counts per day are usually not in power because well, they tend to be a little on the spammy/combative/say whatever is on their mind side of things.

but again...there is only one post count that matters...TF's, because if he had no posts...I doubt the forum would be what it is today.
