I recently bought Civ 3 and I have 2 PC's that I would like to play it on. Is there possibly something that I can do to be allowed to play on both at the same time? My son enjoys playing but we can't play at the same time, is there any hope or will I have to buy another copy?

www.gamecopyworld.com has the 1.07 fixed executable patch file. Just install the game on the second computer, download & unzip the patch file, and replace the civ3 executable with the patch file.

It's an ace file to unzip... go to www.winace.com to get the unzipping program to unzip the .ace file. I've got the patch running on my work laptop & it works great - music and all.

I love playing at work!

All you have to do is install it on both computers and woolah you can play civ at the same time which is good if you lose the CD. (Most CD-ROMS won't work without the CD in the drive.) Civ 3 is the greatest game on earth and if you don't think so, you're an idiot.:crazyeyes ;)

So, your saying you don't have to have the disk in to play the game? I havn't tried, but if that is the case then that is great.

No, the game does check that the cd is in the drive when it starts, but after it's started you can move the cd to another computer. This is a fix for people who want to play on two computers at once.
