So I just tried my first BTS game with the latest patch last night. I played with the most difficulty level and plan to use trainer. I downloaded a trainer then let me have unlimited move. I am not sure is that the trainer problem, after few turns, suddenly a turn would just keep loading and never stop. I doubt is that I set the unlimited move and then the AI counties also have unlimited move as well..then just never end what they are doing. I also doubt is that my comodo firewall affects some kind of memory access then just crash.

A trainer is usually a Warez hack that allows for various game cheats not regularly available. They are nutorious though for breaking games, and should generally be avoided. Especially for a game like civ4 where there is a mod available for pretty much whatever you could want, and an in game worldbuilder to use to cheat; there really isn't much reason at all to use one.

It is different. Base on my understanding, worldbuilding is used to create your own game. With trainer, I can beat the normal game that is designed by the game maker without any cheat code, I beat the AI without changing the game, so really beat the game, you get it?

Or, you could just declare war, go to the world builder and place a lion in every city.

Worldbuilder also lets you edit your current game. You can give yourself technologies, units, cities, buildings, change the map, etc. Or delete enemy cities, techs, or units. If you wanted to win a game, you could just give yourself a huge army and then go around killing everyone. It's the same as using a trainer.

What is the point of playing at a higher difficulty, then using a Trainer to give you an edge? Why not just lower the difficulty a bit and play the game the way it was meant to be played?

You haven't beat the game because you haven't played it the way it was meant to be played. It's not Civ 4 you're playing anymore, but some sort of variation of it.

Not to be snarky, but isn't that the definition of every mod the community has created? It seems a strange criticism considering the variations already out there as well as the ones possible.

I like to use my way to beat the original game with the best AI. I haven't used any cheat code or official changing the game, so the game is running as the game designer wants it to be. Only the hardest level has the best AI, and without changing the program, I can feel what the designer wants it to be, I just beat the game with my own way. Anyway a game is just a program, I just want to see how good is the AI and then use another program to beat it.

Actually the AI in Civ4 is the same at all levels. It just gets bonuses as you advance. I agree, it's your game, play it how you want (I really don't understand how one can be considered to be "cheating" in a single player game), however there are probably much easier ways then using a trainer. There is World Builder, and litterally thousands of mods available in the C&C forums that could probably make the tweaks you are looking for.

It's the program that beat the AI, not you ;)

That is not true, the ability of the program just gives me advantage but I still need to find out a way to win, just like I cannot just use hurry production on the Manhattan project. Program wouldn't just run by itself or exist by itself, it has to be ran by a human, and a program is just a tool. You can say I find a tool to assist me to beat the original hardest level of the creator. I even doubt did the designer of the game design this level to let any normal human to beat it, if the setting is like what I do, with the largest map with that many AI.

Well yes that's true but there is a difference, as I'm sure you're aware. Some mods even make it harder to win the game.

Jesus Christ, man.

Get out. Now.

Just leave.

 And what do you think your trainer does? It's nothing but a cheat code that changes the game.

As mentioned, the AI is the same at all levels. They just get various production bonuses etc. at the higher ones. So if you really want to get a feel for the AI, play it at a lower level with no cheats.

Dude do you know what is a trainer? It would change data in memory to affect how the game runs, it is not done by running "cheat code". If you a computer noob, just accept the fact!

AI is different at different level, read the note by the developer! If the level is only different because of different resource bonus, pretty sure no one would consider this is a great game and it wouldn't be hot at all. :lol:NOOB

If this "advantage" is so big it allows you to beat Deity, it is not simply "just an advantage".

Program wouldn't just run by itself or exist by itself, it has to be ran by a human, and a program is just a tool. You can say I find a tool to assist me to beat the original hardest level of the creator.

You are heavily dependant on it to win.

There are lots of Deity players around here.

Just go play at Settler. At least then you're a fair player. The AI doesn't get smarter in any way. It's just given bigger bonuses.

a lots of Deity players around here? They say they can then you believe it? Funny LOL:lol: Did you see they really do it? come on!

AI is smarter at Deity level, RTFM!

I wonder who's the actual noob here. AI simply does not get smarter.

I haven't seen someone play on Deity, unfortunately, but I have seen Immortal.
