Is the space race win a movie or a still?

I'm not sure if this is a bug or not. I've got my game and machine tweaked so all the videos seem to work. However, when I get a space race victory, I see a picture of the ship in space, but nothing happens. It just floats there intil I exit from that particular window. Is that what I'm supposed to see, or do I need to tweak my graphics settings some more?

There is supposed to be a space race victory movie, though it won't show if you have the movies turned off. It sounds like you're just seeing the first frame of it though for some reason.

I just did a fresh restart of the game. I got a full-screen movie that jerked along, a second or so at a time, each "jerk" followed by a pause of equal length. All the initial and in-game videos seem to work find, so I'm not sure what's wrong with this one. I'm not going to do an across-the-board reduction in graphics quality JUST for a victory video, but I run all sorts of other videos on the system all the time... it's a shame this one doesn't work.

All the game videos run fine for me except the victory videos which are jerky for me as well. You can watch them using the bink player and they play perfectly so the movies themselves are fine; it's just something bizarre in Firaxis' implementation of the in-game player.
