CHEAT for winning?

For more than 1,5 years now I have experience with the game Civ3, including PTW en Conquest. :)
Is there a "general cheat" so that you can win the game?

I've never experienced a "Victory"! No matter what kind of scenario I did!

So.... who can help me? :)

What do you think, honestly? Just try harder and don't cut expenses by sacrificing army size.

You played for 1 year and a half without a single victory?!?!?!?
Easy levels can be won even by kids. You probably are stick in doing some "basic" errors that screw up everything from the start. Have you read the manual?

There should be a trainer in the "utility programs" section. It gives you 1000 gold from the start or something like that. You may try using it. However, i strongly suggest you to find what errors are you doing and improve yourself playing a fair game. It would be far more rewarding than winning only thanks to cheats.

Oh, and welcome to CivFanatics' Forums!

Tiny map, one AI, elimination on, Chieftain, once you have a decent sized army, attack your enemy's fringe city. They die, you win.

I have never understood the purpose of buying a game, then looking for cheats. I have only been playing civ3 for a couple of months, about to complete my 1st warlord level victory on PTW. The best advice I can give you Dutch Leader1 is to spend a lot of time reading this site, it has improved my game greatly.

On shoot-em-up games I sometimes like to go into God mode to release frustration, but in Civ it would be like changing the rules of chess so all your pieces move like queens.

On second thought, maybe someone could create a scenario where you start with a built and productive empire, have an army ready and are twice as strong as the AI civs. That way you could play vengeful God without all the buildup. Not very challenging, but perhaps amusing.

Actually I haven't seen a victory in a while. I get bored managing tons of units and cities and save and start a new game. I like the ealry game and try to settle, explore, expand and build as fast as possible. I'm not as good as the GOTM regulars, but I'm improving. I keep wanting to finish a game, but for now it's more fun to start than to finish.

Start a chieftain, tiny, pangaea game. Build a barracks then military units, mostly attack units. When your city starts to become bigger, past 4 or so, then spit out a settler to found a new city to build more units. Build some workers also. Ironworking and horseback riding are the only decent techs to get.

Doing this victory is assured as long as you attack with several units at a time so defenders do not get time to heal. If you should lose then start again with a civ that has a decent early UU. Persia is a favorite, although it might be easiest with the Zulu. Use the impi to quickly locate your enemies then pillage his lands and attack his workers(do not attack regular units with impi though, they are weak attackers).

There are some extra money cheats but they will not make winning automatic. Or you can edit your saved games with a saved game editor. These can be found in the Creation and Customization forum.

Lastly, the game is supplied with an editor. You can give yourself the required advantage you need.

You could use the editor that comes with the game to make Chieftain even easier. Give the AI even more penalties.

move your settler next to a vulcano and settle there.

When your first city is obliterated by a vulcano, you win by bug. I don't know the details, so i am not sure if you get a victory screen.

PS: the victory screen really isn't anything to write home about.

One other suggestion:
Look into the sgotm section here and download a save game that is the last one before victory. you should probably be able to achieve victory from there. In this case you also get to play with a fully grown empire.

@Pupeteer: That happens to me too! I almost never finish a game because once my empire reaches industrial/modern age, I get bored of moving 200 tanks around a huge map to conquer cities that will die of corruption, so I leave it "for later" and start a new one.
That's actually what I love about C3C, I can play the Conquests for a short game in an ancient era that I'll actually finish...
