Sorry I am still fairly new to this mod forum. I wonder where I can download a Chinese 3-Kingdom period mod? If there isn't, then I would be glad to contribute... 
I have had a few ideas and difficulties here:
1) Use the Googld Map to get a map that is very close to reality. I love to draw maps, so I can do that. However, I don't know how to make a separate map file, and fit in different leaders for different period.
2) I don't know how to set the campaign turns and years. In Civ style they can all start in stone age, or already in the Medieval age. Tech research won't matter so much if they all start and maintain in Medieval, though. Since this is a Civ game, maybe I will just go with the Ancient age start up for funs sake.
3) Deciding the leaders. I don't know how to mod the leaders in, and to set their traits correctly. I can problaby borrow the exisitng Civ leaders and let them "role play". For example, Cao Cao is definitely Organized + something else, perhaps Expansive. That would be "Julius Caesar" playing Cao Cao! Liu Bei is definitely Philosophical (as he has relatively more Great People) + something else. In his early days he is probably "Spiritual" as he is constantly switching sides
, but after he is dead, Zhuge Liang may turn the country into someone else. Sun Quan is probably Financial, and some leader that does not like to expand very much. This isn't a big problem. If I know how to mod the pics and names, I have a few San 9 or San 10 portrays to fit in here.
