lets me just play to the medieval or maybe maybe just to the renacansse era.the game gets really boring once i get into that loop where i discover a technollogy that goves me a great person tha gives me another technology.and mostly i just want to have a roman empire that lasts for eternity thanks in advance

You might try playing on epic or even marathon speed. That way you are many turns between techs, and your praetorians will be uber for lot longer.

This question has been asked alot recently. There is no mod that lets you do this. You can make one by following the instructions in this post.

You should be able to edit python files with notepad, but you can download python by clicking here.

Of course you could do it the old fashioned way and WIN THE GAME by the medievel era...Then no modern era to deal with

Gee, if you're going to only play to a limited point, at least make it challenging and DON'T play with Rome. Don't play with any of the early Civs. Use Germany or America or England, then we know you're not just another AI-bully.

but rome has those shiny praetorians nah ill probably get bored with rome pretty fast and just use random
