Is there a way to enable typing in non-Latin alphabets in Civ 5?

When I am playing a game, I like to bring as much realism into it as I possibly can, and this often leads me to change the city names of civs from whatever the default is, into as close to the native language of the civ as I can get. This is sometimes easy, as I can use alt-codes to go from Munich -> München or from Rome -> Roma, but I would like to be able to do this for other civs as well, for example, I usually render 'Moscow' as 'Moskva', but I would like to be able to type 'Москва', or 'Санкт-Петербург' as St. Petersburg. I have tried to change my input keyboard to Russian, but that did not seem to work.
