I'm playing as the Aztecs. My next door neighbor, Gandhi, is REXing through the South American continent. (This is the huge earth map) Mao, the Chinese leader, is blocking my expansion into North America. This game's difficulty is Monarch, and unfortunatly, the only way to win is to dominate the earth. Not Conquest, Domination. Also, right before I clicked, I had just found out that Germany was in this game! Bah! At least I dont see him on my side of the world...

...anyway, this game is a bit hard. A bit "too" hard. (It's called I Rule The World! Because domination is the only victory allowed.)

What are you waiting for? Download the save and...

...HELP!!!!!!

EDIT: Please move this to the appropriate category, moderaters.

Probably should go to the Strat and Tips. What is the year you are in? If you are holding a small chunk of the world and it is in the 1900's, that is one thing. IF you are in 50BC to early AD that is another.

Even late may be possible, if you have lots of armies.

I would say you are making it tougher to win right now. You placed no towns on the river that leads to the capitol. Instead you place two very far away and will be a long time getting roads to them.

Teo should have been on the river or at least on the lake. Now it is size 3 and not growing. It is core town, must be allowed to get big and strong.

You already have many spears and no war? Why build a wall in Tlate? It should not see any action. You must win by conquest, so skip the wide spacing and temples as much as you can. Head for Monarchy so you can war all you want and you will need a lot with this large of a map.

11 spears and 2 workers for 4 towns? I would rather it was 11 workers and 2 spears. Make some Jags and hunt down the barbs. It is Monarch, right? So barbs are not all that tough and Jags can get promotions and earn some gold.

I would not have started any wonders in the capitol, how do expect to expand with it tied down and Teo on wealth?

I took a stab at this game but somethings are modded.

The game is in 370 BC, Aztecs, just learned Writing. Workers can cross rivers without stopping, but Settlers and Spears cannot. Chopping a forest takes 10 turns, not 4. Workers start with Auto-move turned on.

I think it is winnable, but without knowing what has been modded....
