Is this game worth playing again yet?

For me, late game crashes that cannot be circumvented make the game unplayable.

Just had a crash at turn 760 on marathon that I can't reload past.

So what kind of fool would I have to be to start another? Spending a week on another game, never knowing if the next crash is around the corner? No thanks.

Thanks for the warning @agonistes ... a 500 turn points game was enough to put me off. You must either have serious stamina or permafrost under your house.

I don't play to win anymore. I turn the victory conditions off, and have no turn limit. For me, 760 turns isn't that long into a game I guess, but its too long in to view a crash as no small matter.

Well, apparently there is a chance I can get past the crash by converting to hot seat for a few turns. Might give it a try.

And then my dominance of the world will be complete! Hahaahaaha!

I had been looking forward to Civ 6 but I have yet to finish a single game. Somehow the game isn't interesting enough. Is too much like Civ 5? In hindsight, pre-ordering was not smart.

I would to be able to subscribe to a service that sends me a notification when the game becomes interesting and playable.

Whoever invents that would be a millionaire, because ten different people will have ten different answers for that notification to be sent on.

When the title is a sequel to a previous product by the same company, my rule of thumb is however long it took the previous version to reach that stage +/- 25%. It's a cultural thing on how much time before release to give QA / how much time to polish / etc.
