Hi all,
I just got Civ3 after a pretty long stint of not actually playing Civ at all, because Civ2 wouldn't work on my new pc! So just before loading it up I was a bit concerned that it'd be one of those sequels that just doesn't quite live up to the original, if you know what I mean. Luckily, I was mistaken. I admit, there was a bit of a transition period where I couldn't quite get used to the new system of catapults, bombers and fighters, but I quickly got the hang of it and now I'm right back into the swing of it! The AI is much more coherent than the one in Civ2, at least in my limited experience of Civ3, and there's just enough new stuff thrown in with the same formula so there's enough to keep you interested while keeping that Civ magic! I just regret there's things going on in the real world that keep me from Civ
Oh well, I guess you can't have everything!
