I am having a wierd issue with the dds flagdecal files. I've tried opening the dds files in photoshop cs2 with the nvidia plugin as well as tried opening the files in dds converter 2.1 with the same result... Nothing. The files load but the images of the files dont. They come up as a white box or series of boxes. I am able to see the "thumbnails" of the files in the normal folder directory. There they appear as they should, but when I go to open them in either program, just white (well 2 of them turn out solid gray instead of white). The only file in art\interface\teamcolor folder that displays as it should is the flagbg.dds file. That appears with the "flag ripples" as it should. There are other dds files in the art pack (ie art\interface\symbols\production) that display just fine as well. Any help would be appreciated. My ultimate goal is to reverse the color scheme on one of the flags so that the secondary color takes up most of the flag with the primary color symbol. It should be simple but like the xml files its not.

Thanks! :)

You're using photoshop, right? On the right hand side (by default) there is a window with a tab for layers. Next to this tab is a tab for channels. Switch to the alpha channel.

This is because all the flag except the alpha channel is painted with the civ color.

Thanks a ton! simple fixes are nice. I am still wondering why the alpha channel didnt work in the converter program, but as long as I have one program working, I'm just fine. Again thanks. :)
